EYFS

Welcome to the EYFS curriculum information page.

At West Town Lane Academy we have a Nursery class (with up to 30 children at any one time) and three Reception classes. Our Nursery operates with one class teacher, and at least two Nursery assistants. Our Reception classes have a class teacher and at least one teaching assistant.

Our curriculum is play based, we believe children learn best through hands on experiences. Our week consists of a mixture of whole class, small group and 'explore' time. The structure of the day and week changes considerably throughout the year, as the children develop and mature. Our curriculum provides children with the building blocks for future success.
